Philadelphia PA, (April 30, 2003) --The Moshulu, the most unique
waterfront restaurant on a grand, historic sailing ship, will re-open
Monday, May 5,2003 on the Penn's Landing Marina in Philadelphia.
Martin Grims, owner of Passerelle in Radnor, PA and many other restaurants,
in partnership with his key management team, has taken over the
operation of the Moshulu. The team includes Ralph Fernandez, Moshulu
Executive Chef; Bill Bergan, General Manager; and, Allan Vanesko,
Culinary Partner. They all bring fantastic history to the ship -from
being part of the opening team of the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia
to the Pierre Hotel in New York City to running successful restaurants
throughout the country.
The Moshulu, built in 1904~ is re-decorated with a South Seas f1air.
There' s a sense of adventure when walking in the main entrance,
pass the swans swimming nearby and into the grand foyer of the ship.
The colors are vibrant and the feeling is energetic. With great
food and service, this is an experience like none other. The main
dining room of the Moshulu offers an adventuresome menu exploring
American contemporary cooking using nature's freshest ingredients.
The outdoor decks offer al fresco cafe dining, live entertainment
and cocktails. The indoor lounge also provides cafe dining with
a 26-seat bar under a skylight.
Grims is very enthusiastic about this opportunity on the waterfront.

Interior designer Barbara Balongue, JIDA, in collaboration with
Grims, replicated an intimate South Seas fantasy of bamboo, rattan,
fine leather and seductive fabrics. By utilizing warm and seductive
color palettes, interwoven with distinctive lighting, Balongue's
design creates a sophisticated and seductive environment for dining.
Marty Grims, a highly respected restaurant owner, has several restaurants
on the Main Line and is opening a new restaurant this spring called
Plantation in Harvey Cedars/Loveladies. In addition to Passerelle,
he owns the adjacent Bravo Bistro in Radnor, DuJour, a gourmet food
market in Haverford and he's in partnership at Tango in Bryn Mawr
and Basil in Paoli.
The Moshulu is located at 401 S. Columbus Boulevard (between Lombard
and Pine Streets). Parking is available adjacent to the boat with
valet parking in the evening, The Moshulu is open daily for lunch,
dinner and late night entertainment, Private parties are available
